Wills and Estates Planning

We are experts in drafting Wills, Powers of Attorney and Advance Care Directives, to suit your individual needs. Having a properly prepared Will ensures a smoother process for those left behind after the death of a loved one, and ensures your assets are distributed in accordance with your wishes.

An Advance Care Directive enables you to appoint an alternative decision maker for decisions relating to your health and welfare in the event that you become unable to make such decisions due to mental incapacity or other reasons.

A Power of Attorney enables you to nominate an Attorney, who has the authority to deal with your legal and financial affairs in the event that you are unable to manage such affairs, or in the event where you might still have capacity, but simply wish to provide an authority for another person to manage your affairs (for example, if you are going overseas for a long period of time). Limitations can be placed upon a nominated Attorney’s powers, so that the authority for them to deal with your affairs can relate to specific matters only, should this be your preference.

If you are considering creating a Will, and Advance Care Directive or a Power of Attorney, we can provide expert assistance in this field and help you to understand various differences in the drafting of these documents, so that they can be adapted to best align with your wishes.
